Let’s talk about Look books this week. Number of retailers and designer brands use look books to introduce the upcoming collection to their consumers, as well as people in the industry, including buyers. Look books are more of a soft selling techniques, because they’re not giving a lot of info about the products or the pricing. It’s mostly to style and display the clothing in a visually pleasing way for customers to get attracted to.
Palace Look Book

I chose Palace specifically, because it was different than most of the look books that I’d seen. They weren’t necessarily going for “pretty” or “aesthetically pleasing.” It’s mostly showing a lifestyle and the whole collection’s “vibe.” I think the way that they chose to do it is appropriate for their brand and target market. It is supposed to attract mostly the skater community, which I think it is accomplishing. The look books even feature the items from the collection on “used” mannequin heads.
Let me know what you think of this specific look book, and whether you think look books are effective or not.

I really liked that you chose this lookbook to review since it was something so different from what we usually see. I really feel like this is an effective look book because as you said it really appeals to its target market.
